Austin’s 6 mo

I have admit that I am terrible about maintainig a blog. I will do my best at keeping it more recent!This is little Austin.

 I have now shot Kristy and Craig’s wedding, new born and now 6 month portraits.. I don’t mind actaully, they are a very handsome family!

WPPI Las Vegas

So I went to Las Vegas last week for WPPI. It is the largest convention and trade show in the world for photographers. What I heard was that there were over 10,000 photographers there. Hard to believe. It was massive. Hence being held in Las Vegas. Probably my highlight of the trip was when I walking to one of my classes and out of the corner of my eye I spotted one of my photographs that WPPI had enlarged to 8′x12′ and used for display. If you go to  http://www.davidoffphotography.com/flash.htm and look at gallery 5 you can see the original. There were probably only 8 photographs at the trade show that were used for signs etc and WPPI used one of mine. What an honor! I took a photograph with my new friend Darcy in front of it.

Also added to the Blog this week are some photos of the Las Vegas strip and some photographs that we took during one of my classes. This was hilarious. We had a model dressed as a bride and a model that looked quite amazingly like Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Carr

Austin James Michael Martin and his birthday is Nov 22nd, 2008

This is Kristy and Craig’s new baby. He is as cute as could be! The shoot went very well.  Little Austin was wonderful. It is such a cool job to document life as it begins. It’s really a priveledge.

Makaeda

I’m on a roll! This is Makaeda. What a beautiful little baby girl! I think this little one may spoil me. She loves having her photographs taken and is especially a happy little girl. There will be more to follow from ths shoot soon.

jessika and Tommy

I was very happy to meet both Jessika and Tommy. I shot my 1st maternity photographs for them when my studio opened. Very exciting! When there baby was almost 3 weeks old, they brought him in. His name is Malcolm. These are some of my favorites from the session:

all new stuff

I think my last post was over a year ago. It’s a new year and a new start. Lots has changed in my business over the last few months. 1st, I redid my html site

Our son Dawson began grade 1 this year so it has given me a chance to develop my portrait business. I began this by building a studio. It’s over 500 sq ft and was built primarily for maternity, and newborne/ small children. Of coarse I will shoot almost anything in there. I’ve done some photographs for realtors, and business people.  I’m uploading some recent photos on the blog to show my new portraiture. Hope you like!

e-session

I got together with Lara and Blake this past weekend for an engagement shoot. We had a great time – lots of laughs! We did some stuff around their building that they live in, then we went down to the water with their 4 dogs. All well behaved too. Here are some of my faves!

wedding fun

This was truly a fun wedding. Every part of it was great. Louise was a happy gal the day of her wedding, her parents were wonderful to me, the bridal party were fun, and best of all the weather cooperated with us the entire day!
